THE REAL PROBLEM
Why Indian Gym-Goers Were Getting Left Behind
In almost every Indian city, hiring a personal trainer costs between ₹3,000 and ₹10,000 every single month. For students, young professionals, and busy family members, that fee is completely unsustainable. When founders Denish Vaghasia and Nidhi Davara started training in local gyms across Gujarat, they encountered the exact same frustrating reality as millions of other lifters: a gym trainer hands you a photocopied workout sheet on day one, gives ten minutes of rushed instruction, and then disappears into the evening crowd to push overpriced, unnecessary supplements.
Foreign fitness apps only made the problem worse. American apps counted calories in cups of raw kale, avocado toast, and quinoa. They had never heard of a thepla, rotli, yellow dal, sev tameta, or a katori of khichdi. Logging a home-cooked Indian dinner was an exercise in frustration and wild guesswork. Without anatomical guidance, Denish suffered painful shoulder impingements from copying gym bro-science, while Nidhi struggled to hit daily protein requirements on a traditional vegetarian diet without force-feeding raw protein powders.
They realized that lifters in India didn't lack dedication or discipline—they lacked software engineered for their food, their anatomy, and their gym realities.
