Repyra for gym owners and trainers
Set up gym mode step by step: create the gym, share the invite code, read the member overview of 7-day workouts and protein, manage roles, and reset passwords.

Key takeaways
- Create a gym, get an invite code, members join with it. No per-member setup.
- The member overview shows each member's 7-day workouts and protein, nothing more.
- A member's data belongs to that gym only. Owners can rotate the code and create one-time reset links.
Most small gyms in India have one or two trainers for a hundred members. The trainer cannot follow everyone, so the beginners who need the most attention get the least. Gym mode gives the trainer a single screen that shows who trained this week and who is eating enough protein, so they know who to walk over to.
Setting up the gym
- Sign up with your own account as normal.
- Open Profile, then Gym, and tap Create gym. Enter the gym name.
- You become the owner and get an invite code.
- Put the code on the reception desk, in the members' WhatsApp group, or on a poster next to the water cooler.
- Members open Repyra, go to Profile, then Gym, then Join with code, and enter it.
That is the whole setup. There is no member list to type in, no spreadsheet to import. Each member creates their own account, answers onboarding, and gets their own plan. Joining a gym does not change their plan; it only connects their account to yours.
What trainers and owners see
The member overview is a table, one row per member, with two things for the last 7 days:
- Workouts finished
- Days protein target was hit
That is deliberately all. You do not see their food log, weight, measurements or photos, and I am not going to add those. Members join because they trust that a trainer sees training and protein, the two things a trainer can act on, and nothing personal.
Here is how one trainer I know uses it. Monday morning, she opens the overview on the desktop view (the same app with a left sidebar at 900 px and wider) and sorts by workouts. Anyone at 0 or 1 for the week gets a message. Anyone at 3 or more workouts but 0 or 1 protein days gets a two-minute chat about breakfast the next time they walk in. It takes her ten minutes and reaches the people who would otherwise quit in month two.
Roles
There are three roles inside a gym:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Member | Use the app normally, see their own data |
| Trainer | Everything a member can, plus view the member overview |
| Owner | Everything a trainer can, plus change roles, disable members, rotate the invite code, create password-reset links |
To promote a trainer, open their row in the overview and change the role. You can have as many trainers as you like.
When someone leaves
Disable the member from their row. Their account still exists and they can still train with Repyra on their own, but they drop out of your overview and lose access to anything gym-related. A member's gym data belongs to that gym only; if they later join a different gym, that gym starts from zero and does not inherit your history.
Rotating the invite code
Codes get shared. If yours ends up on Instagram, tap Rotate code and the old one stops working immediately. Existing members stay connected; only new joins need the new code. I would rotate it every few months as routine.
Password resets at the desk
Members forget passwords, and not everyone checks email. Normal forgot-password works by email link, but an owner can also create a one-time password-reset link for a member from their row. Show them the link on your screen or send it on WhatsApp; it works once and then expires. The owner never sees or sets the password.
What gym mode does not do
I want to be clear about the boundaries, because owners sometimes ask for more than I will build:
- It does not handle fees, attendance via biometric, or membership expiry. It is a training tool, not gym management software.
- It does not let a trainer edit a member's plan directly. The member's plan comes from their own onboarding answers and adapts to their feelings and skipped days. A trainer can advise; the member changes their own settings.
- It does not show trainers the Coach chat, food log, weight or photos.
Using the posters
One small thing that owners like: every exercise in the guide has a Poster tab that renders a 1080 × 1350 PNG with the steps and common mistakes. Download the ones for the machines beginners misuse most and print them. It does not need an account to view and saves your trainer from explaining the leg press for the fortieth time.
If you run a gym and try this, write to me. The overview exists because a trainer asked for it, and the next thing it shows will come from the same place.
Questions people ask
Does joining a gym change a member's workout plan?
No. Each member's plan comes from their own onboarding answers. Joining a gym only connects their account so trainers can see their 7-day workouts and protein.
Can a trainer see a member's food log or photos?
No. Trainers and owners see only workouts finished and protein days for the last 7 days. Food logs, weight, measurements and photos are visible only to the member.
What happens to the old invite code when I rotate it?
It stops working immediately. Members who already joined stay connected; only new members need the new code.
